Aylesham is a small village situated between Dover and Canterbury with a population of about 4000.
The village was built in the 1920s to provide housing for the miners who came to work in the Kent coalmines.
Following the closure of the pits in the 1980s, a wide range of community initiatives have been introduced to provide leisure facilities and employment opportunities.
Although Aylesham is a small village there is an abundance of activity for people of all ages.
