Council and surrounding Parish Councils, together with Hillreed
Ward, the appointed developers and local groups within the

Aylesham and the surrounding district and is self funded

Aylesham4Aylesham is a community forum working in partnership
with Aylesham Parish Council, community groups and
organisations and support agencies to provide activities and
initiatives to involve everyone in the community.

Neighbourhood Project
A fantasically successful project which was established in 1997 as
part of the work to regenerate the former coalfield communities.
Aylesham Neighbourhood Project is a charitable company, managed by
a committee of dedicated local parents and residents,
providing a wide range of services for the local
community. It is led by a Board of Trustees who are
all volunteers and oversee the strategic direction of the charity
and ensure that the Project achieves outcomes for the communities
with which it works.
The current trustees have a range of skills and expertise to
offer to the Project and have driven forward the Project’s growth
and success. On planning for the Project’s future development, the
trustees are seeking to widen and strengthen the Board by
recruiting more trustees to join them.
The Project is interested in meeting anyone who feels able to
volunteer some time as a trustee and would be particularly
interested in recruiting people with skills in these areas:
